Honeywell continues to fight Union. 4 Union members terminated.

One thing is obvious, they're still mad about their decision to lock out their experienced workers.  Now, in retaliation, they have unfairly, and in some cases illegally, terminated four Union members.  All four cases have been scheduled for arbitration hearings, but the results may take up to a year.  Our local is confident that all four members will be restored and made whole.

Elsewhere in the plant, Union members are being targeted by managers in every department.  In Maintenance, Tommy Barnes is treating the Union Mechanics like dogs.  While scab mechanics from Shaw are spending hours sitting in the lunch room, our Union Mechanics are quarantined to their "default areas".  One mechanic, while completing a safety document, sat on a bucket to use his knee to write on.  Upon seeing this, Barnes yelled at him to stand up.  The mechanic asked how he was supposed to complete the two page document with nothing to write on and Barnes answered that he didn't care as long as he remained standing.

Another mechanic was written up for failing to keep his "default area" organized.  His area contained a large tool chest and bench that contained hundreds of tools available to all personnel.  While in another area of the plant completing a job, Manager Jeff Smith visited this mechanic's default area and wrote him up because there were tools that were "out of place".  You might ask yourself how he was supposed to keep that area meticulously organized and do his job in another area of the plant.  We asked that too....
